my blue emisar dv42 only a few months old and the color is rubbing off the metal i doubt i can catch it in a photo but i see it. kind of bummed they was a lot of money for me

I've got a cyan V1 and the gold V2 and both look nice with minimal usage.

I love them both, but sold off my D1 and D1S, which I never carried.

Such is the nature of this hobby!

That is exactly why I prefer stainless, raw alu, or Ti (polished/matte, non-colored) material on my favorite lights. They age and hide scratches very well.

Hard anodized lights like ZL still get scratched over time and use.

My V1 D4s are grey ano and have some scratches and dings on them. They're daily-users so I shrug and move on every time they acquire another scar.

I keep putting my keys in the same pocket as my lights that have magnetic bases. Then when I whip my keys out, they drag my light out with them flinging it to the floor😔
