What can I do to this light??

I bought this light sometime ago over on ar15.com. I believe I got taken as it's certainly not the 500 lumen light that the seller represented. The machine work on the body & head seems good so I'd like to use it as a host for a brighter/better light. The reflector is marked "GY.xenon lamp 12v 14W" It holds 4 CR123s. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Looks like the same reflector assembly dimensions as the lamp insdie the Ultrafire WF-500, although I definitely think the host you got is better (more slender, no excessive crenellation).

You could get this compatible 7.4V bulb and run rechargeable 17670s, or 18650s if the bore is wide enough (probably not). Output is probably similar, somewhere between ROP-Lo and ROP-Hi, maybe 450lm, but less expensive than duming CR123s if you ues it regularly.
