What Cell Phone you use???

Surfing and dowloading are taken care of using my Mac machine (macbook pro). 8310 has been very good and reliable for my push email, nothing beats it when it comes to pushing the emails instantly.

There are lots of phone with push email, for one my SE X1 has push email. I can set it to push instantly as emails come which uses up more battery or I can set it to check every 5min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr and so on to use less battery life. Your blackberry can't do that.

Why would I set my BB to check the email every other minutes if it could have the email automatically pushed ?
And what would happen if the email is 1 mb in size ? Your device would hang for sure. Nothing beats BB when it comes to pushing emails.

Had it for over 2 years. It works great. It's my personal phone.

Unfortunately, have an electronic leash from work [an older
Blackberry.] We have a BES environment that pushes our email.

I once had a Treo that used ActiveSync that was also tied to our
Exchange Servers. Through OMA/OWA, it synched up the email that way.

Now, with Exchange 2007, and OWA, users can manage their own Windows mobile devices on a limited basis. Before, an admin had to go into the Mobile Admin GUI to manage devices for end users.

Why would I set my BB to check the email every other minutes if it could have the email automatically pushed ?
And what would happen if the email is 1 mb in size ? Your device would hang for sure. Nothing beats BB when it comes to pushing emails.

LoL u think my phone will hang? how about this what if the email has an attachment that is a 1.3GB movie? how long will it take your curve with only EDGE speeds to download it? Wait you curve can only play 3GP and MP4 formats so it cant even play AVI, MPG, DIVX or any good quality movie formats. Your opinion is BB's are the best for push emails, I beg to differ. Push email isn't the most important thing about phones. Voice quality is and your curve doesnt have 3G voice calling which is crappy in this day and age. The curve is over 3 years old and almost obsolete, the BOLD is its successor and thats not even a good phone. There's no mention of cpu speed or ram on any website because its stats are too low to even mention. Face it your 8310 Curve is a dinosaur. Blackberry's and iPhones are for people that don't know any better, there are so many other phones that perform better then blackberry's and iPhone but people dont do their research and get sucked into the fad.

I don't really care what others have to say, in my opinion Blackberry is the best. Comparing BB with other mobile phones is like comparing a Ferrari with a Yugo.:nana:

my blackberry 8320 is the best mobile communication device ever made, thats kind of sad that your so defensive over a damn phone, guess what? mines been dropped in a creek and it still works. could your sony do that? my bb goes 4-5 days between charges with email, facebook, myspace and bb PIN all being used heavily, your phone doesnt even have PIN its only for the best phones. how well does your phone do for reception? i can pick up signals in the middle of no where, when other people with the same service provider cant even get a bar, i can get three.

Blackberry Curve on the Verizon network. I love my Curve. I have had other smart phones in the past and this is my favorite. I have never owned an iPhone.

iPhone 1st gen. Love it. Plan on upgrading this June when the 3G gets updated.

Quick note:

I have a theroy on phones in the US, and that is that you should always upgrade your phone when they allow you to. If you don't, you're essentially overpaying for your plan, and paying for the privilege of canceling your contract without penalty. As long as you're paying phone-subsidiary fees every month, might as well have a phone that they're subsidizing, right?

(I am not a role model of this, since I've had my phone long past the subsidiary period!)

and in the long run, what are the chances of you needing to switch carriers, and not being able to plan ahead and wait until contract runs out? Pretty slim -- and if it does come to that you can just pay the ETF.
