What does the Ti PD S look like inside?

Anybody have pics of the emitter and how its attached to the heatsink. Is the heatsink separate?

I want to evaluate mod potential.

Its easy. Unscrew the head, then on the driver board unscrew the tiny screw, the boadr will then pop off with the wires still connected that goes to the emitter. then you can gently pry out the heatsink that has the emitter on it. Just have some Artic silver on hand, I always like to add a lil when I re-install the heatsink.

I have done this to various PD's and C's and even a Mule. So easy a caveman could do it.

Oh also, if you just wanna see the heatsink. Unscrew the bezel ring, put a piece of tape on the window so you know what is the outside, remove the window. Then remove the O-ring, and then the reflector. Then you see the emitter. I guess thats easier than the afforementioned way....

You ever wondered what it looks like up Eva Longoria's miniskirt?

Trust me, that's JUST what it looks like... :D

This thread would be so much better with pictures! (PD or Eva)

Hmm, on second though better PM me the Eva pictures, this is a family forum.

I know I posted some shots of the Luxeon on the heat sink and the Ti PD head but danged if I know which thread or where the images reside on my web site....... :green:

I always thought the tails on the PDs were downright sexy ....
So if the outer rim equates to the miniskirt, what about the trit.?

Thanks Bernie. These scoundrals all have really dirty minds... :tsk:

For those Eva pics ... do a search on the net and you will come pretty close. I guess we need to stop the discussion about Eva here now because if the Boss reads this thread we will face consequences ... :aaa: :D

Kiessling,

Did you need to de-solder to remove the LE? It looks like it's still joined...

The killroy board is too large to move forward and the aluminum heat sync is too small to go deeper. I've never taken my TiPD apart so I'm just guessing.

Thanks...

Ken

I think that shaft between the two boards on the right is a screw that you can unscrew. You can see the nut in the lower right pic at 12 oclock.

AFAIK you have to unscrew the screw that holds the heatsink and the board together and then de-solder the wires in order to be able to take it apart.
But then again ... I have no clue about tech-stuff and never did it myself; so if I were you I'd wait for a more qualified answer.
But it is sure flattering that you thought I might know that :D
