what grade of ti?

Yes that alloy will work fine. I believe that is the alloy most common, and most used. 6% Aluminun, 4% vanadium

The 6-4 titanium alloy is also referred as grade 5 and is, as far as I know, the toughest titanium alloy widely available

That's the most common grade, which means less cost to you. And the shop will be familiar with the machining parameters. Ti-6-4 accounts for about 75% of all titanium use in the world.

thats great guys

as far as i know the shop is state of the art laser replicaters and all kinds
and hopefully i can get some free use

that linked with the fact that i use 3d autocad all day means a low cost custom ti light could be coming my way!

just need to get the design flawless
