What is MagLite Multi-Mode?

Maglite has 2,3, or 4 cell conversion units or use Litexpress for 5 or 6 cell but they aren't very exciting. I run a litexpress in my 6D but it isn't very bright compared to what I normally carry.

LOL, do not waste money on that crap from ebay. that led is not even soldered to a metal core board, never mind 700lm at 350lm that led will cook itself.
as far as multimode, the driver will switch mode if you turn it off and back on within few seconds.

I have a drop in for an old Petzl head lamp from the same supplier. I have not used it so much but it seems ok. No heat sink but it's only 120 lumens.

not really, looks like leds are soldered to same kind of board, but for 120lm that is fine, not for 700, nor even 500.
