Hi all,

I want to open up the hole of a FM 2.5" throwmaster reflector to fit a P7 Led for humongus throw! But don't want to screw it up, I need to open it about 1-2 mm What can I use? I was thinking a Step bit and a drill, but want to ask if there is other safer methods available.

Thanks!

The stepped bit or even the non-stepped bits are commonly used for this. Try your best to keep it completely vertical. Don't put too much pressure or else it may dig in and take a chunk out or get stuck. I did one a while back without a drill and used my dremel instead, not cool. haha

I bored an old fivemega reflector I think about 8,XXmm using a drill.
first 10,0mm second a 12,0mm one. it works for me...but it isn't perfect...
I think you may need something more for your 100$ head...
(I'll never bore my throwmaster with a drill :D)
