Funny you should say that, I was on the forum at 3am last night as I was still up because my son has the Malkoff. :)

I found out what the Malkoff flu is really all about.

Money well spent though.

I'm about to find out what this new Streamlight ProTac HL4 is all about. Is it small or medium I wonder. Probably floody with a bunch of throw.

It'll be my first 12+ volt flashlight.
Streamlight says 2200 lumens and I believe 'em.
I'll probably use the 60 or 600 setting the most though.
Scheduled to arrive about this time next week. If I like it, that'll be added to the list of lights you may not recognize as flashlights.

Hope your boy is better soon.

Thanks bykfixer. The "man flu" is probably another name for it- who knew a 7yo could catch it?!

Please let us know how you like the HL4 so I can remove it from my ignorance list! :D

Flood: Olight Intimidator MiniVN. 3 XML2s pumping out ~3500 lumens. I love this light.
Throw: Nitecore EA41. Pretty good throw considering its size and that it runs on 4 AA Eneloops.

1. 4Sevens Quark mini X 123 usually lives in my dressing gown pocket and A D25cvn ti on my keys.

2. At work a Zebralight SC62w on a neck lanyard for close floody use and a Eagletac SX25L3 MT-G2 on my belt when I need a bit more reach. (not quite the same size but they always work together)

3. Thunite TN36vn (MKR) for immense flood and TN35vn for searchlight with great spill.

Well done Underdriven! Go to the top of the class for most closely following the original instructions! Some great choices too.

Thanks for the good gifs hpsafl. The stock TM16GT is [emoji106].

Re: What is your favourite Flood and Throw Pairing?

And here's your final question; "...what are your favourite combinations?"

The point, despite qualifications, based on your questions, there is no right, wrong or best reply.
