or month. I do not mean what lights have you played with, or found an excuse to use. Out of all your lights what lights have actually served a purpose for a real life use, such as taking out the trash, looking through a closet, walking the dog, investigating a noise outside after dark. Yes walking through the house with a light instead of turning on all the lights is considered a real use too :).

I can honestly say there have been 4 in the past few weeks. I used my Inova X1 tiros in the car a number of times to read while waiting for Pat, my green Photon Freedom covert nose a few times when trying to find the keyhole in the door when I got home later than anticipated and my Stylus Pro for numerous other day to day chores. I did use the Inova T1 to look around the back yard the other night after a loud noise, the only time I needed something brighter than the Stylus Pro.

Good thread!

For quite a while now I have been using my AmondoTech HID N30, Brinkmann 3W 2D dimmable CREE, Husky 2D 4W, and Coleman 530 lumen LED spotlight as my every day worklights. I use them for investigating if I hear noise outside at night, for extra light in a ceiling bounce, walking on uneven ground at night, walking through the dark house, and most other practical uses.

OK I will make it easy and just give you this weeks main points.

The old PAL light never goes off!

Used the Mako to untie the dog and bring him in.

Used the Icon 1AA on low with a bottle top diffuser to read. I use some sort of flashlight to read every night. It helps me wind down so I can sleep.

Used the Milky made Oilslick Mule S2 Seoul 90L for 2 hours to wander around the house checking the locks

Made a bathroon run with the Ra Clicky EDC Executive

Did a sweep of the backyard from the 2nd floor window with my M6 because of a "noise", I didn't see anything but I wasn't the one who heard a noise either!

Went out to the car to get Wendy's cell phone and used the MD2 with the M60 in it. Later used the same thing to take out the trash.

Good enough? :)

My LF3XT sees a fair amount of use around the house, especially when more than just a wee bit is needed. For a wee bit, a wee light, the Photon Freedom with covert nose and orange LED. For reading in bed I've been using the 1AAA Flexlight I found at Ace Hardware and also the Photon ReX. When I'm out or at my work the L0D, pocket EDC, has seen occasional use. I think I may have also used the Arc AAA on the keychain once or twice.

Brass Peak 3Led Matterhorn on an almost daily basis, checking if I locked my car doors and such tasks.

Nuwai Qlll, my work key chain light beat up, dropped, and kicked but still working. Used it today to check a fuse panel in an electric room where the florescent tubes were burned out.

DaFabricatta Modded Surefire L1, used it two weeks ago on my friends farm and in their house at night to avoid using the solar while going through rooms and at night to not wake others as well as scoping the woods from a distance.

Brass Peak Caribbean while short cutting through the Presidio while intoxicated.:drunk:That was one wild ride.

Surefire 6P with and Old School Finned KL3 module for checking items cooking in my stove because I can't for the life of me find a replacement bulb for that old stove. My standard kitchen countertop light.

Dorcy Super 1 watt (modded) - taking out garbage and working under the car

Fenix L0D Q4 - taking out garbage

Gerber Infinity Ultra & Fenix E01 - navigating the house at night

I use my Ra Clicky EDC-E every night when I am on CPF, I tailstand it when I need to type anything so I can see the keyboard. My other 2 Clicky's have seen use as they always do, from fixing myself a snack before bed, to sticking the fuel tanks at night at work.

I used my DBS with the R2 pill to spot a fox that ran in front of my car while leaving work last week. When I hit him with the beam, he just froze in the field starring at it

I use my Draco every night to walk through my garage when I come home. Since my keys are already in my hand, the Draco does the job.

Those are just a few things that jump out at me. I use my lights so much for little things, and have been doing so for so long, that I forget all the uses I put them through

My little Dorcy AA with maybe 5 lumens, many times, and my Romisen rc-n3 to look around where the cat fights and growlings were brewing, and the Brinkmann 45 lumen 2 AAA swivel head (which clips on clothes or fits in the mouth nicely) a few times to light the path to the garage. Those three are about 99% of what I really need and use -- and I could have done with the 5, instead of the Brinkmann or Romisen rc-n3.

We cats, vampires, ghouls, and other creatures of the night don't need much light.

I used a 2007 Inova T2 and older T4 (TIROS) within the past hour to see and try to chase away a large coyote from my property. It was circling us when I put my dog outside.

The coyote stood its ground.

Trail blazing in the forest during a recent get together:

Mini EDC

Daily general use:
D10
Ti EX10
Mini EDC

Trustfire TR-C2 / 18650 hosting a 1350mah DIY drop in at work, 3 or 4 times per week. Haven't even thought about using a surefire since migrating over to 18650.

Just got an Ultrafire 503B to play around with.

I definitely prefer multi-mode lights, for their versatility... just one can cover a lot of applications.

I also used my RC-N3-Q5 a lot at home, its so small and easy to pocket carry but I mainly use these here...

Screw that crap, transition to a weapon light

In the past few weeks, I have used my C2, G2, and E1B for B2V in the dark cold desert.

I use the E1B every few days, and my streamlight stylus just the other day.

Lummi Raw NS used when i dropped something in a dimly lit club, to check the credit card bill in the same club (20 lumens was just nice). Used it on 100 lumens to catch the attention of a friend across the club who was looking for us, then spent 30 minutes expounding on the beauty of the light and another 10 explaining that i am not insane for spending 50 UK pounds on that light.

At home its the LD01 when the midnight munchies hit and a fridge raid is called for, E01 to read without distubing She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Ultrafire host with MC-E dropin from DX just cos i like it and have it.

Around the house I used the Fenix P1D Q5 w. Leef body, which is standing on my desk. Walking the dog: NiteCore EX10 or RA Clicky. Yesterday I used my NovaTac 120P to sort the cable tangle under my office desk and some hours later to enlighten the washing room (the automatic illumination did'nt work already again).

Always using my Lummi Wee Ti, too many times to list. However, I've put my LumensFactory modded Surefire E1e away and brought my Raw Ti back into service. Used it just a second ago to peer into the body of my R/C car to check the pinion gear alignment.

6PL
PD30
E2DL
Battery Junction labeled keychain light :)

Ask me this again in a month and I'll add:

E1B
L4
TK11 R2

(I'm going to need more money next month)
