What motorbike is this???

All I know is:

Its a Kawasaki,
It's no newer then 2003,

At first I thought it was a KLR250, or maybe 400+

But its got electric start, slightly different plastics & guards, its not water cooled, & its got back disk bracks. All which KLR250 dont have.

Look around on the engine case and there might be a label -- Japanese manufacturers used to at least put the displacement near the bottom of the cylinders.

That looks like the Super Sherpa to me. But you say its older than 2003, so im not sure. I think the Super Sherpa used to be the KL250, but im not postive. correct me if im wrong
