I am looking for a thrower that uses a single 21700. What are some of my better choices right now?

It's a proprietary cell, but the Olight Warrior X Pro is one of my favs. The X Turbo throws even further.

I've got 2 of the Olight Warrior X-Pro models. I love the ease of charging, they have a decent throw, yet small enough for any carry on, as I always take 1 on vacation with me. Very solid construction as well, I can imagine would definitely leave a mark in a defensive situation.

I don't know what you mean by a "thrower", but in a couple of days, my new Fenix PD36 TAC should arrive, and Fenix should soon be announcing availability of the new TK28 TAC (same emitter and UI as the PD36 TAC), which has a larger reflector, so I am presuming better beam collimation and a longer effective illumination distance. I could be wrong, though.

Fenix customer rep told me they expected to announce the TK28 TAC was shipping by the end of the Summer, but maybe the chip shortage is causing delays?

I mean if its throw youre after look at LEP. Number of 1x21700 LEP available. Most of them are I think. Wont get anymore throw out of a light that size then LEP + good runtimes too since actual lumens are not too high. No comparison to HID or LED throwers in that range (HUGE + short runtimes + get very hot = require active cooling = even more huge). But lack of usable spill is a consideration. I know many like Weltool W3 and 4 but there may be better ones out now.

edit: HID dont need cooling but yknow what I mean
