Just curious since I own a handfull but as much as I hate to admit it my goto work light is a 2 cell , 12 led import. Simple and tuff! I would llike to upgrade to a bit higher output with good runtime. Any suggestions folks? Thanks in advance. Best, Ron.

Fenix L1D-CE is $51.06 shipped at Fenix Store with CPF8 coupon code. This is the flat out best 1AA light for very close to $50.

My opinion best bang for buck light is the XJC B8 for $13.48 shipped. I like its' battery efficiency which is better than other low end 1AA lights, and mine has been solidly reliable. I'm guessing the various other XJC 1AA lights for about the same price (2 level B6, et al) are also pretty nice, but I don't know.

Another popular light for brightness and quality is Stainless C3 for $20 and change. Stainless is tougher if you don't mind the extra weight.

Thanks Nerdineer, those look like great lights! :twothumbs

I personally don't like strobe etc so I cannot recommend Fenix. =P
Here's some. Check out my review in sig for details and other ideas.

2AA lights:
- Romisen RC-N3 (Now this is a HIGH QUALITY light for what it costs with runtime + brightness)

1AA light:
- Was gonna say Rexlight 2.1 B002 but it's not available now.
- Stainless Steel Ultrafire C3 or Single Mode ultrafire C3 P4 is good.
- Romisen RC-G2 is great but it's more throw than sheer output.
- Those Fenix lights for under $50 won't be bad at all though. =)

BTW, Is it me or should this thread be in the LED Flashlights forum section????
