When a Camera is Powered Off can the CCD still be Burned or damaged by Light??

I was wondering, I have 4 extremely low lux cameras (0.002 lux sensitivity). The lenses I use on them have no iris or shutter. And I only use them at night (I have a photo-diode controlling when they come on).

My question is, if they are not powered during the daylight hours could an image still be burned into the CCD chip or could Pixels be damaged if the sun is shining into them?

I would be cautious about direct sunlight. If there is no shutter or iris then even when switched off the lens is still going to act like a lens and focus direct sunlight onto the CCD surface, possibly causing burning.

You could possibly make a tube-like shield so that the only light falling on the camera is indirect, as long as the sun never makes it into the field of view.
