Re: Where\'s Raggie?

Don't be ashamed to cry. I cried and cried and cried when my mom, dad, and grandma died - right out in public, with no shame at all. The ability to cry in public is a gift from God - don't fight it.

Re: Where\'s Raggie?

Rags... Mom needs to be at peace. It might be time to tell her it's ok to go. Sometimes we tend to hang on and not let them go because of our own needs and fears... and that's perfectly normal. But it seems from what you've posted here that she needs to be told that it's ok... and that you'll be ok. You will be ok, Rags. You will always have her in your heart... and you will always feel her warmth. You're a good son Rags... tell her it's ok... and let her be at peace. It is the greatest Christmas gift you could ever give her. We're here for you, my friend... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grouphug.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Prayers said for you and your family. May the Christmas Spirit, in some way, find those who have lost loved ones and brighten their lives a little. It's too bad that Christmas is a melancholy or downright sad season for so many. Thinking of you, ragmeister.

Raggs. Chuck is right. Don't be ashamed to cry about your mother.

No one could have said this any better than Sasha just did.

My mother passed last spring. One of the worst parts is that I didn't spend enough time with her while it was happening. YOU are lucky enough to have that chance. Cherish it. We're all thinking of you and praying for you and your mother.

Re: Where\'s Raggie?

i missed this thread...thank goodness hospice was involved.

had i known, i could have perhaps given some advice (from a pain specialist with co-workers skilled in hospice), but it sounds like you handled it perfectly, raggie--with love and compassion.

your mom is free, and you helped her through it.
bless you and your family.

Raggie,
Sorry for your loss. The star dust your mom had borrowed while she was here among us is now being returned as will be the cycle for us all. Perhaps if you look in tonights sky you will see a star twinkle.
