I can't believe noones mentioned it yet... But the PhotonFanatic AAA Killer Ti is certainly my favorite!
It lives around my neck, looks gorgeous and the newer LED and driver combo being offered is wonderful.
I've considered the Preon or getting one of the other types of power LED torches, but I'm not a huge fan of 'power LEDs' in AAA lights as the low runtime and bad thermal properties (purely by having less total mass to distribute the heat) don't seem conducive with what I perceive the use of a AAA light is.

It seems like the LF2XT is a pretty popular light these days, although that's not the reason I chose it.

Very nice low, incredibly flexible and user friendly UI, my favorite switching system to date topped off with the perfect wide range usage beam pattern!

For me - definitely the LF2XT! I just love the UI and features and 10440 compatibility. That said, I have my trusty Fenix E01 on my keychain which I trust will turn on whenever I need it to. Also have an LD01 but since getting the Liteflux...

I'd love to get my hands on the Preon, but probably not anytime soon. Besides, I'm very satisfied with my LF2XT =) I'm never more than an inch further away from it - since it's on my neck lanyard!

Right now, the ITP A3 EOS Upgraded version (with the Fenix EO1 in a close second). Soon, the first Cree XP-G light I can get my hands on in aluminum, that doesn't require a Paypal account, with the IlluminaTi U.I. and brightness settings. I hope something like this is available before Christmas.

Best all rounder LX2XT,best bang for the buck ITP A3 EOS closely followed by Preon 1 and 2 that's it

Only from what I own...

Usefulness = iTP A3 EOS upgraded- general - lo - nice High.
Operation = Streamlight Microstream - love a forward clicky.
Build Quility = Leatherman Serac S1/S2 - tied - iTP A3

I only have the Serac S1 and I'm totally disappointed in the E01 style purpleness of the LED. My Streamlight Nano is the same output and tint.

If I could only have one AAA , iTP A3 EOS upgraded
I have other torches for other tasks.
