Why not a side by side battery compartment?

If you took 2 CR123 light and placed the cells next to each other, you would shorten the body considerably making carry a much easier proposition. And holding the light would actually be easier, im not so humble o! :) I understand that a simple tube with a screw on cap is easy to make, but cheap flashlights have been using this style for years - see the Energizer double barrels and similar. Why not now and on a real light for a change?

This light is a marvel indeed. Perfect UI. Incredibly small for 2x123 and the machining and concept is just a blast.

This is one of CPF's finest lights that saw the light of day.

Hi yourself! :) It was good to meet you! As for the Spy, anything a little less stratospheric in terms of price?

Well, um, the Surefire M6 is kinda side by side..... not exactly of lower elevation however.....;):naughty:

Maybe if you were working today, you could afford one!!!!!

cons:
* machining is more difficult (read: expensive)
* body can not be milled to accomodate an 18650 Li-Ion (which is the better option to 2 CR123s ;) )

one question that I am not sure of: in what way is such a side-by side light better to grip when using the light in a hammer grip to light one's path? Seems like a not so defined grip

So I'm a bum - sue me! :) I love it when the house is quiet. It happens all to seldom.

I want an M6, but that wasn't quite what I meant. :) Something along the lines of a double barrel U2 would be cool!

And yeah, the Spy is a work of art. I love that little guy, and I've never seen one in person.

It's best to use hammer grip on a hammer, I prefer flashlight grip on my lights. And don't you get tired hiking with your hand up in the air?

Who says 18650's are "better"? They may hold more juice, but is that the only consideration of merit? Where do you charge them while hiking with your hand up?;):D

I wouldn't want it to accept an 18650 - now we're back to a longer body. Rechargeable CR123s would be fine.

I personally find a flatter, wider object easier to hold on to. I suspect that people with less flexible hands (such as I appear destined to have) would find that to be so. For instance, my Eternalites are very easy for me to handle and natural in my hands..

Perhaps if you had some money........:broke::kiss:

Aside from some Mag mods, I don't know of any others..Never seen a Spy myself, thats why I wanted you to buy one! Oh, and EVERYBODY wants an M6, even if they don't know it yet!
