Wide spill?

Candle Power Forums

Help Support Candle Power:

The incendio sounds great. Do you know how wide the spill is? (approx feet at 3 feet out).

I would estimate that the spill angle on the Incendio is just beyond 90 degrees, so at 3 feet out, the spillbeam would be a bit over 3 feet across.

That's with the reflector on - with it off, the beam is wider than your field of view.

I like the spill on my IncenDio also. It's one of my floodiest lights. Very nice for shorter range, wanna see everything duty. But I'd say not only is it a bit wider, but also the spill is a bit brighter also. It is due to the narrower, shorter reflector. Still, this light may not be what you're looking for.

I may have reduced some of the spill area on mine with this little mod I did here.... but it's still good. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?p=2442985#post2442985

The animated Gif is from about 3ft. and the squares are 12 inches each.

There's good information in this thread about the light.

Roscolux LDF under the lens of any LED flashlight you care to use.

Sorry my solution is so cheap, but it is effective!

I know this thread is OLD but I'm desperate to give my favorite P60 drop-in more spill! Will the Roscolux LDF actually make the spill wider? It seems like it would only serve to diffuse the hotspot (mine is already quite diffused as it's an XM-L with OP reflector).

I want something like the Milkyspit Roomsweeper, but without the price. That light looks INCREDIBLE but it's an extremely expensive light. If I could just find shallow P60 reflectors I could have one custom-made...
