I have a funny story to tell. This past weekend I went with my wife to pick up our daughter at one of her friend's house. This is the first time she's been to thier house, so we spent some time chit chatting with this girl's mom (the girl's father was away for the weekend). The girl's mom got to talking about how her husband is so into his toys - meaning cars and motorcycles. She said he goes through a couple a year. She looked at my wife and said, "Is your husband into cars or motorcycles?" My wife said, "No my husband is into flashlights." She looked at me like . Then after some stuttering, she said she wished her husband could just be into flashlights too because his "toys" are so expensive. Little does she know that my "toys" are too! I felt like saying that I also am into collecting firearms, but I sensed the awkwardness meter would have gone up another notch. It was just a weird situation to be "outed" for the first time to non-flashlight enthusiast. I guess we'll see if my daughter is allowed to go play with their daughter any more.
