Will D36 Lamps fit the G&P X9?

No, it won't; I've tried. It's narrow enough (36 or 36.5mm, vs 39mm for the G&P reflector). But the G&P is deeper (longer).
You need a miniturbo lamp assembly from G&P or one of its rebrands, such as LEDWave, Cabella's, or the now-defunct Digilight.
You also can screw in a lamp from a G&P D26 lamp assembly. But there's no guarantee the filament will be the right lengh, so proper focus could be elusive.
