Apparently, every Friday the 13th, the WMH has a "flashlight tour" of the entire place...this sounds like a very appropriate event for a bunch of flashaholics.

Please leave your An/VSS-1 at home, though.

I did that a few years ago with my wife. They give away these PR based lights and candy for the kiddies for free:thumbsup:

**edit** EGAD, that was 10 years ago already:eek:

I would love to, but it's in California. Along way from home for me.

Still, that sounds REALLY cool !

Wish there was more of that sorta' thing available.

I had a friend who grew up in the Winchester Mystery house. Her dad managed it. She had some fascinating stories to tell. I've been through it a couple times and it's really something to see.

Perhaps you (or your friend)
would like to tell us one or two of those stories ?

Especially if they have a flashlight-type theme. :candle:

If you wouldn't mind telling 'em,
we would all LOVE to hear 'em.

Thank you.

I would have done this tour along time ago, but the price of $43 per person for the 65 minute tour to me seems.... WAY WAY OVERPRICED!!!!!!

!!! Holy crap ,thats a ripoff. Its interesting, but not $43 worth. IIRC it was less than half that much a decade ago. Although I went on Halloween, not a friday-13.

Its not a ghost or flashlight story... but this ought to carry you guys over till' the other guy tells some interesting ghost stories...

I vividly remember that Halloween 1998. I was with 5-6 friends, including my wife who at the time was just a good friend. We did the Winchester house tour and hit a costume party till' after midnight. At the time my wife and I weren't even dating. Although I had started to harbor feelings for her and wanted for us to be together as a couple. At the time we were just casual friends, on the same volleyball league team.

One of the gals we were with that night apparently was interested in me, and was trying to make an impression on me. So my wife (friendly mediator) kept trying to set the two of us up... leaving us alone, trying to get us to interact...etc.... The whole time, I was trying to make an impression on my wife!!

We got a good chuckle out of it for several years... "No wonder you were acting so strange", kind of stuff.

10 years and two kids later we are still together. Believe it or not that PR light is the ONE in my small collection I would NEVER part with. My wife still has hers too.
