WTB. 4AA Parallel Battery Pack/Holder
I've searched the web and I can only find serial holders. Does anyone have a source?

It does not have to look like the picture.

I snagged this image from wikimedia.

Thanks guys.
At my large world wide company, they have decided that the employees can no longer have fans or radios that plug in the wall. We have to use battery powered devices only.
I have on order a small fan on order that uses 2 "D" batteries and I want to make up an external battery pack that uses Eneloops.
My modding skills are low so I need to keep this simple.

Did your company ban battery chargers? ;)

How 'bout USB battery chargers?

I thought of an Eneloop USB charger but it's 2 batteries with a 4 hour charge time.
It would be easier and safer :poof: to do my charging at home.

If there's room in the fan's battery compartment, you could try the Aventrade 4 AA to D parallel adapter:

As well, Sanyo is releasing both C & D sized Eneloops next month:

There is some speculation that the Eneloop D cell may in fact be 3 AA cells in an adapter, but that's still preferable to assembling your own providing they're not grossly overpriced.

Of course, at 5.00 a pop, the price of two adapters converts to a significant discount on the Eneloop D cells with their attendant quality assurance.

I'd personally try to get some LSD D cells to run the fan....

But if you already have the eneloops, I can understand where you are coming from.

I should add that I only was thinking of using the 4 X 2 Eneloop pack as ease of availability and I also have a charger for them.

The bottom line is I want a 3v rechargeable source to run my fan for at least 1 day on a single charge and that it may be an internal or external supply. I believe that the fan will run 8-10 hours on regular old Energizers.

I should also let it be known that the work place is also changing the building temp from 76 to 78 degrees.:thumbsdow
