Well, I'll help to keep this thread alive with a question Toby...how many did Charlie build in the Damascus version? Also, I'm guessing you have gone to the "other" (dark side?) forums to check there as well?

Apparently 28 of these beauties were made. It´s the biggest of the three damascus lights that were made (I know the SPY 005 but consider it a aluminum light with a small damascus part). At least I woulnd´t know another damascus light apart from the DamCham, Raw Da and Wee Da.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

26 DamChams were produced with a nitre blue finish. Charlie intended to produce 24 in the run and bought just enough Damascus stock for that quantity. However, the machinist was more efficient than estimated and had enough Damascus stock left to make two extras. The DamChams were numbered 1 thru 24 with two extras numbered 25/24 & 00.

There were two prototypes made that were also nitre blued but ended up with a brownish gold finish. It was expected that the production run would end up that color and it was a delightful surprise when they came out blue.
