this is a bit of a discussion, bit of a wanted thread, bit of a mix....:candle:

I've got some money spare in my paypal, in the region of $250 US, and I want something nice/shiney/different but i have no clue what.

I wouldn't miss out on a clinker for another $50 or so either way.

Any suggestions?

I'm partial to AA/AAA power, but certainly wouldn't rule out cr123. That said I don't want anything terribly exotic on the battery front. My current EDC is a Fenix L1D, but I also have several other lights form E01's to Maratac AAA's and TK20, Headlamps and some cheapie flood to throw lights.
I want this for EDC so colour rendition must be fairly good for my job.
Aluminium, SS, Brass or at a push Titanium (i realise Ti is at the top end of my price bracket )
Single cell preferred, double at a push. Pocket sized I guess.
I don't want mass produced.
Don't need strobes or disco modes, a 3 mode light would be fine
low low low mode is a bonus.
I don't mind spending $50 on one light and $200 on another, or $250 on one light or 2 lights at $125 each, I'm just after something NICE!! :hitit:lovecpf

Do feel free to offer up here or by PM if you have something for sale, equally all suggestions appreciated!

This will be the second attempt, apparently wanting to buy a custom non mass produced light doesn't qualify to warrant a thread in the Custom Flashlights classifieds :ironic:

Why not a SF T1A?

But honestly, I'd say that you should get an E1B since it's such a usable, easy-to carry, and incredibly built light. It's simple and when you want it to do something it's predictable. Fan-freaking-tastic light, honestly I would sell all my other lights and just keep my black E1B with a Z68 tailcap.

I'm the guy that called for limited runs of this light because it's so awesome and i want it all to myself... that being said, you should definitely buy Mac's light.

or surefire M6...

First off, thank you to all who've replied.

Mac's light would be nice if I could get one!!! as far as i can see he's no runs on at the minute. M6 is a little too big ;)

I don't know if you consider this mass produced or not. You can customize either of the below.

Again, would be nice......

T1A doesn't really do it for me, E1B I had/am considering :twothumbs

The AA Volere Ti by kuku427. Very nice light.

Not my thing as nice as it is.

I think it'll take divine inspiration.....

In that case don't get in a hurry and you will find it.

Wouldn't be in the CPF spirit if I was prepared to wait

Money ready, need to spend on flashlight......

I could save a bit more and splash on a Haiku, however I've got two kids and a line must be drawn.

Dusty - I think you need a McGizmo

Either a Sundrop or the newer Haiku warm XPG-R4, will do the job.

I know, you have kids, it is a lot of money. If you do get them and they don't meet your needs (or you can't take the guilt of spending the kids inheritance!), sell them on B/S/T or trade it for something different.

If you can't do it, a RA (HDS) clicky is a top notch light and available with a high CRI emitter.

Good luck with your search!

Haha Cheers Bass!!

I just missed out on a couple of Haiku XP-E's (damned time difference :ohgeez:) so i may keep my eye out for one of those but deep in my heart of hearts I know i'm not going to be happy till I get a Haiku exactly as you've described.

Thats a month or so away though, until then I've the itch which can't be scratched... :sigh:

I'm now pretty much decided that I'll be having a Haiku XPG neutral/warm, it's my birthday next month so there'll be some donations to the cause :naughty:

Still doesn't solve my immediate problem though. Any further suggestions based on the suggested spec or close to it? Can be any metal......

2/3 mode
low low
single cell aa/cr123 will consider 2 cell lights as well.
good colour rendition
not run of the mill. something different/quirky/funky
up to $250 ish......
