I'm not even sure 8 18650 could adequately power 4 CFT90s, or there wouldn't be enough space in the host to fit 4 drivers to power 4 CFT90s. But it would be interesting to find out.

A flashlight with 3 or 4 CFT-90 LEDs would certainly replace the X65vn (which I have), although it would be more expensive.

Multi CFT90 is just too much money...

How about olight sr95? If you get anything over 4000 lumen and 300k lux, then it will worth the mod.

With some quick calculations :

It can fit for sure 4*C8 reflectors (40mm) , or slightly bigger (43mm) . With 4* cft-90 someone would get approx. 700-800kcd (minimum ,max up to 1.2mcd) and 18-20k lumens , at 20A each led .

2. Beam profile/performance: None.
3a. Yes.

Vinh, if I am wrong, that is, if there is another light that has a combination of both significantly more throw and more lumens, let me know!

Until then, one X65vn in one hand, and another X65vn in my other hand, outer limits of LED flashlight performance!
