The L4 is my EDC lately, with the 2-stage McES switch (22 ohm resistor) and Pila. What a package!

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

Of the actual users (I may have assorted $1 lights that are for backup, or lights in my laptop bag, etc.):

Out and about:
ARC AAA & Photon II on keychain
ARC LSL or Inova T1 in back pocket

Also, sometimes when I get home and I'm feeling lazy (or my hands are full), I will just use the glowring on my keychain to find the light switch.

At home:
Dorcy AAA

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

Four? that's almost more edc-able lights I have.
Anyways:

Arc aaa head on peak-body or KevinL keychain light on keys.
Arc4 on my belt. (everyday)
Longbow micra with McCapsule(wiz2 750/TxoH), so17xa, ucl. This one I carry only sometimes (mostly as additional bikelight for darker areas).
I chose the wiz2 for the McCapsule because with this one I can carry only one spare battery, an unprotected li-ion cell for both lights.

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

Inova X5 - The toughest light in existence. Cheap, if you know where to look.
Dorcy 1AAA - It's as bright as any of the other AAA lights and I won't have to kill myself if I lose it. Moderate water resistance, as well.
Inova Microlight - Cheap, easy battery replacement, and my favorite switch of any of the coin-cell lights.
Orb 3W Raw (pending) - For impressing people.

I EDC more than that, but those are just the ones I can't live without. I'm afraid of EDCing any of my really expensive lights, as I have a tendency to lose things.

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

1, the 'all the time' EDC, Dorcy AAA. Small and bright enough.

2. Surefire E2e, I take a 6P because space is no concern and its cheaper if its lost.

3. Surefire L4, Proabably the best EDC for when its dark and I'm around school but out and about (Track meet, play pratice ect)

4. E2e with PR-T head, the whitest light I have and certainly the throw champ for its size.

When I know I will need a light I usally take a E2D, with stock head, and the KL4 head, and the PR-T, with a McE2s. thats covers about 99.9 percent of my lighting needs. Now stick em all in a pelican case with 2 extra sets of 123s and your ready to roll /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

On my person:
Sportsman's Warehouse Ultra-Power 3
- or -
Mr Bulk LionHeart

Keyring:
Inova Microlight

Backpack:
Mr Bulk V-I-P

I'm always looking for a nice AAA light for keyring or pocket carry. A used Arc AAA isn't an option given the prices they're fetching lately.

I might swap a QIII for the Ultra-Power if I can find one at a good price. The QIII's beam is far more useful.

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

Outside the house I EDC my first ever purchase that started this crazy hobby, my Arc 4+.
My LionHeart is my dedicated house and back yard light
I also use my Jets N tube ArcAAA for it's candle mode while checking on the kids at night.
Key chain duty goes to my Photon Freedom (best keychain light in my opinion (ARC AAA is just to big /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif )

Cheers,

Matthew

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

It's funny you chose 4 EDC's because that is the number I carry every day:

-on keychain: Princetontec Impulse (great for looking under seats in movie theaters and quickly detaches to give to someone else)
-on pants pocket lip: Surfire A2 w/white leds (hands down the most used inside and outside the house)
-in quick access of briefcase bag: Inova T3 w/Surefire 6P beam defuser (a highly under rated luxeon 3 white-white light with great throw and only costs about $70 with 2 hrs in regulation runtime)(beam defuser fits perfectly and floods a room great in blackouts and such)
-tucked away in briefcase: Surefire M4 (definetly the least used but when I need this much fire/candlepower I am Soooo glad I brought it)

Re: Your four favorite EDC small light\'s.

The only light which strictly classifies as EDC for me is my CMG Infinity Ultra, which has lived happily on my keyring for a couple of years. Built like a tank, usefully bright, and I know if I ever get stuck in a situation where I need light for more than a few hours, it will do the job.

I think we should invent a new category: EDP - everyday play, for the lights which get used a lot but not actually carried around. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
