good experience with Norton Ghost

Back in this thread, someone raised the possibility that Norton Ghost might not restore a hard drive correctly if the computer is one of the newer Dell machines. (Dell puts a special diagnostics partition on its hard drives.) I can verify that this is not a problem, at least not for certain types of restore jobs.

Today, I restored my entire Windows partition, while leaving the special Dell partition alone. The computer rebooted with no problems and is working perfectly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
