I have a Canon Rebel XT and just picked up an used EF25 II extender on Ebay for macro/closeups. I am using it here with my kit lens (18-55) on 55mm, set for max. size (shortest distance possible), F10 auto aperture priority, manual focus. Light provided by room fluorecent behind my and my overdriven 5W LED VY0T 2C 27mm ISM M*g for close-up. Not quite in perfect focus yet, but just having some fun :)

This is 640x480x256 colors (8BPP)

And for those with broadband, here is a link to the full-size, 3456x2304x16.7 Million colors (24BPP), 2.3Megabyte image ;)
VERY LARGE IMAGE - Broadband only !!!

Cool. The EF25 II for about $100 makes these very close shots doable at a reasonable cost (compared to a true MACRO lens).

8 Megapixels. I don't shoot in raw mode, but shoot all pictures at maximum size with the least compression possible (photos as usually between 3 and 3.5 Mbytes each) ;)
