I am in for a red set for sure. Before I finalize I need to think about the bulbs I want. Could you tell us about the Nexcell by the 1C. I am not familiar with it.

You referenced c size Li-on cells. Where do we get those?

Hi redbird.

I think that C cell is just a regular Nimh.

Maybe when FM is talking about the 1 C cell light with LIon he's talking about AW's LIon C cells.Just a guess.

Hi FM I also have a question.
When you refer to US bulb do you mean PR base or potted?I don't know that much about (tinger) flashlights.

After looking at this offer does this mean you don't have any heads in HA?

Bigbeam, the US (Ultrastinger) bulb is a bi-pin. PR base and potted bulbs are one and the same.

Aw's 'C' LiIon is still WIP. I think FM was referring to the use of an 18500/Pila 150A LiIon in place of a C NiMh cell as they are the same height.

redbird,
Presence of NiMH Nexcell "C" is just for size comparison and ofcourse can be used by LED guys.
AW's lithium ion "C" size batteries are not in market yet.
-------------------
big beam,
Ultra Stinger bulb is not PR potted and can be used in 6 volt Stinger flashlight.
-------------------
My underestanding is Stinger heads (standard or HP) are black HA by factory.
Mentioned red standard heads are reanodized in hard type III
-------------------
lexina,
We all know "C" size lithium ion cells will be reality soon or late.

Sorry, I'm new to this lineup, but does the HP head include a reflector?

Is the stock HP lens adequate for all the bulbs you listed or are you adding a boro lens? Thanks

HP lens is good for most bulbs but when you use hotter bulbs such as WA1331, short run won't hurt the lens.
Please check post#19 here.

I think I'm getting this nailed down but I have one more question.Does the HP head and NON HP head use different size bi-pin lamps? You have some bi-pins listed as for HP only and the rest listed for NON HP.I'm thinking they are not interchangable.

I'm a little slow on the uptake  this is hurting my head!!!

You have the choice of using either standard (non HP) head or HP head but each type of head will work with certain type of bulbs mentioned above.

I want to make sure I understand the charging of these mods. Is it correct that using the various rechargeable batteries that they can be charged in the original stinger charger? We do not need to remove the batteries and charge them in, for example, a pila charger?

HA-III set/switch/tailcap/head/2xHP/bulbs; PayPal sent.

You seem to have forgotten to include a 1x168A and/or 1x150A barrel in the kit . . .

By the way, the URL "here." doesn't work.

Any recommendations for acquiring the charger/cradle sets? I see them for $20 at
http://streamlight-flashlights.com/stinhpac.html

I figure I'll have to hack them to use a more-flexible charging scheme, like hookup
to external "universal" LiIon chargers, etc.

redbird,
Stinger stock charger can be used with NiMH batteries.
To recharge li-ion cells in flashlight, you will need to hook it up to proper charger.
rdh226,
For 1 li-ion cell operation, "C" will serve best.
I hope above link works now.
BTW, I do have some fast chargers too.

Wow they all look very nice, but maybe you should edit the title from megatinger to megastinger.
