hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a LED EDC light that is either rechargeable 123 or CR2 w/a high low setting priced from $50 to $75? It looks like the only option right now is a used HDS 42.

I have a FF2 that runs on standard CR2 but it is just too expensive for me to carry.

I like the Fenix P1 but it does not have a low beam and the CR2 ION is way more expensive than I want in a EDC.

hmm...thanks for the heads up, read about the Smartfire light in the other multi-level LED thread. Are there any lights that come stock this way that are remotely affordable? I don't care about a special finish, as long as it not too rough to damage pants liners.

also, is Waion's light different from the Smartfire light other than finish?

They are the same light but with different names printed on the side of the bezel.

You could try PM'ing MillerMods.
His mods are affordable, widely acclaimed and incorporate different levels.

You could mod the Surefire E1L switch for 2-stage operation. It's an easy mod that is explained elsewhere in these forums. It runs well on RC-123s and makes a great light.
