I was looking for a 2D maglite, and came accross this flashlight.

it has a interesting feature, "a high performance bulb & battery suspension system"

I've never seen one before, but it looks and sounds like it might be quite durable. Is it just me, or does it look rather long and slender for a 2D light? Perhaps it's longer to incorporate the "suspension system".

Think that's a pic of the 3D.

Here's a pic of the 2D:

There's also a 2AA version available:

Browsed through Coleman's website, but can't find any mention of the Graphite series of lights.

The Graphite Flashlights where discontinued this year. Too many people moving to Aluminum LED flashlights. 5the flashlight is very durable, and the suspension system is nice as it does a great job of protecting the bulb when dropped.

regards

I received two of them last week, and i am not impressed.

for a 2D flashlight, they are way to big, and the tail cap is rounded so no tail stand.

It has a adjustable beam, but 90% of it is useless.

the end of the head is soft rubber, but the plastic under the rubber is quite thin and would likely shatter if dropped if more than a few feet.

I am glad i only paid £7.99 each and not £17.99 RRP.

regards.

John.
