yes john, that's exactly what rycen means. that's what we call them across the pond.
and you could also use a little Flitz polishing compound on that q-tip.
BUT in most cases it isn't worth it. i have a custom AAA with a highly polished reflector and it doesn't improve the beam much at all. most of the light in an Arc AAA comes directly out the LED. the reflector doesn't add a whole lot.

If you do decide to polish the reflector, then a straw fitted over the LED will help protect it. I had my Miller-Mods AAA polished and it does make a difference--but the LED is a Luxeon.
