Homemade house lights, anyone make any?

I was looking around the internet and found that someone made a light that looks like

metal or plasic tubing with holes in it for the leds to shine down.

Anyone make a light for the house and how did you do it?

Ken: looks like PVC pipe 1/2" or 3/4", and a 3" PVC endcap. Sizes may be different but that's what they used.
