OK - I would love an E1 with the new Cree LED. I just love the balance of runtime and brightness of the E1 (almost perfect for my EDC). With an Energizer lithium it gets about 6 hours of constant run which is great.
If putting in the Cree would increase brightness by a noticable amount and keep all other things equal - that would be a nice "upgrade". The size of the light is perfect to keep in the pocket and the style is cool looking too (no oversized head etc.)
Anyone going to offer something like this?
