This is a new tactical light I have designed called the Marathon Tactical Master (MATAMA).

Specs:

- Secret Yellow 5mm LED from my hardware store
- 2xD Batteries (included)
- Advanced electronic circuit
- Output about 0.003 lumen
- Runtime 86400 minutes (about 2 months, tested in the summer)
- Body: Non anodized type III gray duct tape (orange available)
- Switch: Tactical lockout wire clipped to the positive contact of the cell

This is the advanced electronics circuit (patent pending)

This MATAMA satisfies most of the tactical requirements for a flashlight:

- If dropped to the floor it will turn off
- It can roll over a flat surface
- It can be used as a kubaton for self defense
- Very hard to detect for the enemy since it is barely visible
- Preserves night vision, hey it even preserves darkness!

It is recommended for the outdoors in case of an attach of a bear or a mountain lion, just sepparate the D cells and throw them to the attacking animal.

This is a close picture of the Yellow LED

The Secret yellow led has almost no throw and no sidespill so it is great as an all-around light.
The beam is absolutely perfect, due to the absence of beam so we can say that no light can have a better beam.

This is a beam shot at 1 meter

Recommended for:

- People with insomnia
- Mall Ninjas
- Andy Warhol followers
- Wide Receivers of the Oakland Raiders
- Diplomacy corpse of Liechtenstein

Retail price will be aproximately $100. Shipping in May 2007 after field tests are concluded.

Added:

Variable speed strobing/signaling accesory: $24.99

can it be modded into a C cell version?

It's very easy to mod, you only have to be careful about the special electronic circuit used in the MATAMA.
But be careful: Using C lights will reduce the tactical effectiveness of the light against wild animals.

Can I run this on 3.6V protected batteries?
What about 16340 cells?
17670?
3.0V RCR123A?
What about a 3CR123A to 2D adapter?

:)

:goodjob: Luigi :grin2:

I did a runtime test with a red 3mm Led and the same "Electronic" like yours and 2xAA Alkys and they lasts exactly 6 months.
So with your 2D-configuration it will last perhaps 2 years?
And the red light will have an additional function:

Perfekt for traffic stops (Leos, Firefighter...............), signal lights.......

My Patent was also pending but I will allow you my genius idea.

Only a suggestion for your second run.

Best regards

The light itself is disorienting why would you need a strobe?

Anyway we have designed a strobing/signaling accesory available, it allows infinite levels of strobing speed and signaling. This is the picture:

The strobing accesory can be added for extra $24.99

OMG our idea has been pre-copied !
Our lawyers (AKA my sister) will get in touch with yours to solve the patent conflicts.

Let our sisters (lawyers) sit together by a cup of tea.......and we both crazy engineers will have time to invent more crazy stuff...........
