Two stage tail cap for an L4?

Greetings, all. I found a two stage tail cap I bought for an L4 a couple years ago, but never got around to buying the L4.

It is an aftermarket unit manufacturer had a surfer logo, and if I recall they were out of hawaii.

Any idea of what this is properly called, and what it is worth?

Could be one of McGizmo's Aleph tailcaps housing the McE2S 2-stage module ... but the surfer logo wasn't found on any of them IIRC. Also, Don isn't on Hawaii.

The L4 seems to be a very popular light. Why have we not seen more people making a two stage clickie for these and what are the technical complications or issues associated with this set-up if any? Thanks

Pics -

It has three holes - one not threaded, for the ring, one threaded "button" that attaches to the included belt/car attachements, and one threaded for the size bolt a tripod uses.

It is a two stage, NOT a clicky, to the best of my knowledge. As stated, I never got around to buying the L4, as I bought an L2.

I think I paid $60 for it - more than 50 and less than 70...
