Here is mine.
I got it in 1974.
This is my 1st flashlight, so it does mean a lot to me.

But the years have taken thier toll. :(
The reflector is faded and the lense has cracks in the center of it.

The plastic bulb holder had become brittle and broke just several weeks ago.
The contact flange at the bottom of the bulb/reflector assembly is also not in good shape for conducting electricity.

Hah! look what I found for just 25 cents at a church rummage sale!
See that black plastic flashlight?
It is a much newer, plastic version of the Eveready Commander.

See the business end? much better!

Reflector/bulb assemblies and lenses now switched. :naughty:

Hehe.
Yes, that is a beamshot. ;)
When I got it as a kid, I could shine the beam clear accross the street onto neighbors houses with it's good throw at night.

This light actually does good with an Everled side emitter drop-in.

Still, I leave it as original as possible for now. ;)

I gave it some thought last night, and that's really not a bad idea to mod the black plastic host in some way.
Especially with it's classic exterior appearance.
There are enough parts left over to do something like that with a little work. :)
I just gotta find time to do that one of these days.
