From MTE, any ideas? Are these good?Cheap AA flashlight with modes is the going to be chosen!

looks like:
SSC: least focused
Cree: middle
Rebel: best "throw"
... but in this power league, nearly no difference. The Rebel will be the least bright one.

IF they all use the same circuit (only given for the Rebel one), and giving 350 mA to the led, 2 hours at best on high.
High --> med --> low is useless imho, like to get the lowest output first...

So you think to buy the rebel?

No, the Rebel will be the least bright of the three, assuming same circuit running at 350mA. Frankly, it's hard to tell how well focused any of them will be. There's a a lot of variabilty in these cheap DX lights.

As a general rule, Cree's throw the best with a proper reflector. SSC may be over-focused for even greater throw, but with a resulting much smaller hotspot (and to my mind, less useful). But hard to know until people have all of these in hand. And even then, given variability, may not be consistent.
