LED's are going to have to go into another realm yet to match the power of an electrical arc

Is it feasible? what would some requirement of a new die design be.

There were people still attempting to improve upon horse drawn carriages even after the automobile had just been put on the road.

I'm figuring the next light bulb will be nuclear powered.

They've already got wind up light bulbs so nuclear may not be too far away :shrug:
