Can anyone tell me what is the diameter of Maglite D Cell battery tube diameter on the inside? will it fits 3 18650 next to each other(like making a paralel pack, + to + and - to -)?

Just did a quick measurement: 34.03mm / 1.340"
And no, three 18650s across will not fit. You have to bore the ID just to fit two across. Three 17mm dia cells will fit but once again only if the light is tri-bored to fit them.

I am also considering AW's 17500 lithium. Would 4S2P fits inside Mag 4D?
what is the maximum continue discharge current for Lithium? is it 1.5C or 2C. i am targeting a 50W bulb with 14.4overdrive.

varies by manufacture. AW is using cells rated for 2C. consider about 2 amps tops from a 17500, in big "packs" I would limit to lower than that for safety.
