The problem with making a 1/4-20 hole for tripods here is that flashlights, especially pocket-sized ones, don't usually have an unused chunk of metal for you to drill into. Sometimes people just epoxy a 1/4-20 nut onto the light they want to tripod-mount. abvidledUK's suggestion is a good one, as well as more universal.
I have this one, and it`s nice and bright.

Didn't you notice the threaded hole in the rear of the light? And the pictures of it mounted on a tripod?^ ???

No offence but if you are going to spend three digits of dollar per light, you should not be looking at DX or KD
