...taking out my lights and checking them when I get home!!

First it was the Minimag turning itself on (as said in my other post), this time it was the 1AA Task Force that I found turned on in its holster!!

I think what caused it was that I still had it on the belt of my jeans, and I had hung the jeans on a door. They fell off and hit the floor and I hung them back up. I suppose the impact against the floor must have turned on the light's tail click switch.

I went to get the light later and found it on in the holster. It had been on several hours, apparently. It was fairly warm, but not uncomfortably so. The battery was down to about 1.2V from the fresh 1.5V when it was new.

DANG!!

This is exactly why I prefer lights that lock out. One of the things I dis-liked about the Proton was its inability to lock out. Before Nascar told me about the 3 minute off feature I lost two batteries. But who knows how many times it turned on and off in my pocket before and after the program change. My NDI replaced it.
