So up until last night i thought my next light i would buy would be a Surefire UB2 Invictus, late this year. This all changed when i explored an abandoned train repair depot last night. This place was HUGE!!! over 600 ft long. A light with good throw is perfect for this type of place. I realized my SF G2L just didn't cut it for me. Made me want a thrower, something brighter.

Here's what i have:
  • SF G2L
  • SF L1 Cree
  • ROP 2D
  • SL PP 4AA Lux
  • Mags
  • cheap pelicans
  • cheap Underwater Kinetics
  • many many Everreadys 2D's
  • Streamlight Argo HP

Lights i've had and sold (or lost):
  • SF G2
  • SF A2
  • Microfire M4
  • Mag85 3D
  • Fenix L1P (lost - slipped out of pocket)
  • Fenix P3D (lost - slipped out of pocket)
  • Fenix L2P (broken - its not a hammer)
So until the UB2 comes out, what light should i buy? I've considered the Fenix TK10, the Lumapower MRV, this, and others. What does everyone think? I'm pretty unfamiliar with Lumapower actually, so maybe someone could "introduce" them to me, kind of explain what their latest and greatest is.

What do you guys think? Introduce me to something i don't have yet. Mcgizmo? Lumapower? Jetbeam? Novatec? Arc? Photon? who knows, just shoot some suggestions at me.

Get a real hotwire incandescent of some kind - something that is truly bright. Ideally over 1000 lumens.

A mag mod would be perfect.

Failing that, get the WF-500 from DX - my eyeball says it probably puts out 400-500 lumens on 2x18650 (fresh).

Another idea would be to go HID...
