I searched but I wasn't sure which batteries would fit and where to buy them. Any threads someone can point me to?

Can the M60L be used with rechargables?

Thanks.

I think the M60L is set up for between 3.8 and 9 volts so I would think you would be okay voltage wise with any rechargeable 123s.

The only rechargeable 123s I could find locally were at Radio Shack. I'm not having any problems with them in a 6P with a Surefire LED.

Where can I learn the difference between 17670's and 18550's and whatever? where should I buy them?

I like batteryjunction.com for my rechargeable needs. The numbers are size designations. The 18650 is larger than the 17670. The first two numbers denote the width while the second two numbers denote the length.

i.e. An 17670 cell is 17mm in diameter x 67mm long and an 18650 cell is 18mm in diameter x 65mm long. The '0' at the end just means it is a cylindrical cell.

Fooboy and Rinspeed, everything you'd want to know is probably in this thread: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=161536 You might also check AW's li-ion sales thread in the Marketplace under Dealer's Corner.
+1 for MD's great thread. +1 also for AW's cells in the CPF MP. Some of AW's cells are also available for purchase at Fenix-store and Lighthound - in case you want to combine other items.

Typically the 17670 is the largest li-ion rechargeable you can use in a 6P. Some people bore out their 6P bodies in order to use 18650s.

I think I got it figured out.

17670 will have longer run time but fall out of regulation quicker ... cuase only one cell's worth of voltage but more mAH

2 rcr123's will be at full brightness but for shorter time ... higher voltage but lower mAH
