I was changing my daughters MP3 player battery and did a volt reading on the dead energizer alkaline battery. It read a little over .9 volts.

So for kicks and giggles I put it in my ARC AAA-P DS. It had enough brightness with spill to navigate around in the dark. I let it run to see how long it would go and I was surprised that it ran over 8 hours before it went into deep moon mode. Which it was still usable for reading up close. I did not bother to see how long the battery would go from that point. However, I started the light again this morning and I got decent brightness again for about 30 minutes before going into deep moon mode.

I love this light!

P.S. The one tip I learned is that if you are stuck using your light when it is very dim, do not turn off the flashlight or it will not turn back on again unless it has a few minutes rest. So let it continously run.
