I ordered wrong lamp for e1e will it still work?

I ordered a Lumens Factory lamp assembly for my E1E. I messed up and ordered one that is for 3.6 volt rechargeable battery instead of the 3 volt CR123A like I use. Will the lamp still work with a 3 volt cell? Maybe just be dimmer than it would be with 3.6 volts? What do yall think?

It will be alot dimmer, but I would invest in some RCR123 batteries and a charger. This way you can have a rechargeable set-up and save money on batteries.
