I made a YouTube video that compares the E1L and E2DL, with and without the F04 diffuser.

The quality sucks, but it's interesting nonetheless, especially if you haven't played with an F04 diffuser on any of your TIR equipped E-series Surefires.

Update: I just added an indoor video. It's a lot more represenative of the F04's effect on these lights.

Newbie Question

Whats the difference between the surefire E2DL and the surefire E2D? or are they the same thing?

The Surefire E2D is the incandescent original version. The Surefire E2DL has the same body and tail cap as the E2D but has a 2 stage LED head.

e2dl has one of the most useful spot beams--what reflectored lights can produce such a tightly-focused wide spot?

Gotta love that TIR optic, and that beam from the E2DL.

Every time i turn on this light it just blows me away!
I'm surprised no one else (coppied) made their own version.

Nice vids. I have the F04 diffusers on my E1L, E2D and Magled 2AA (turned my minimag into a nice flooder and by adjusting the beam it acts like a dimmer).
