I just got this flashlight/lamp from The Sharper Image today:

Use the powerful halogen light for a bright, directed beam.
10,000-hour fluorescent tube rotates 360 degrees and tilts 90 degrees.
Provides 150 hours of fluorescent light, 120 hour of halogen on fresh batteries.
This thing uses 6AA batts and includes an AC adaptor and car cigarette adaptor. Press once for spotlight, once more for lamp. I was truly impressed with this flashlight; it gives a really good throw! The flourescent lamp is great for desk use or for jobs that need overall coverage of the area. For $15, I recommend it. If you have duplicate Sharper Image catalogs and notify them; get $10 and get this light for $5!
