I'm thinking of modding preferably a 2D, but I also have a 3D if essential, to produce the best throw (few hundred feet for spotting wildlife in the forest etc).
I've searched the forums etc, but would like to get them into one place so I can go over them, and would also like links to where I can get parts if possible (able to get in, or ship to, the UK).
Budget is ideally <£50, but could stretch to maybe £70 if worth it!
Some ideas that caught my attention included the Terralux triple emitter (TLE-300M) mod, but how would I make this work with a 2D? Perhaps multiple NiMH cells?
I've seen the aspherical lenses too - will these throw well with the Terralux P4 module? This seems like a cheaper option.
