Ok, so first a few questions:

Price?
Size?
Runtime?
Throw?
Output?
Batteries?
Multimode?
Tint?
Switch Type?

:welcome: I hope you enjoy your stay!

Well as above pointed out you didn't really give us much to work with, but for fun I will hazard some suggestions anyway. It sounds like you want something fairly cheap and preferably from dealextreme. Also something quite bright. I think a 1x18650 or a 2x18650 MC-E or P7 light might be what you are looking for. Here are a few examples:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16092

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16501

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12623

I can't seem to find any of the 2x18650 ones but I know they make them.

yeh sorry for the broad question, here we go,
i need a light with a strobe
not bigger than a olight m30
not smaller than a jetbeam 111 ultra
idealy under $200 aus with batt and charger
checking fence line mainly and dark buildings ( basic security work)
i need good flood mainly plus about 100- 150 feet throw
i probably get 2 sets of the 18650 so i can rotate them as i use the light every night
im really leaning toward the olight m30,and possibly the jetbeam ultra as well
ive found really varied pricing for these worldwide and i have a paypal account as well,
kind regards glenn.

I would go for an Olight M30 then :)

www.ledtorches.com.au sells these locally, and I have had good experience with them. You may be able to import it cheaper from overseas though.

The Fenix TK40 is bigger than the Olight M30, but if I had a choice of the two I would take the TK40.

The Olight M30 is pretty much the ultimate (before going custom or looking into the smaller manufacturers) in output for that size though...

Something a bit smaller that might also be worth a look is the Fenix TK11 R2.

These two threads should be of great interest to you:

how about Jetbeam RRT-1 & 2?

In terms of efficiency, M20 IS better, but RTT-1/2 will last almost 7 hrs on medium on a freshly charged AW 18650, which should be enough for the whole night.

The main advantage i see it has to offer for you over the M20 is that it (both) has greater throw than M20, and RRT's selector ring allows easier mode changes between medium & high which i suspect you may use a lot.

You won't be able to use hi or max mode for all night with 1 battery, so I believe you'll be using medium modes a lot.

im thinking now the m30 might be a bit of an overkill, maybe i should stick to a tactical light like the tkll or the ultra ?
whats a good charger worth ive seen 1 starting with "p" pifa or pila or something like that, looks ok.
need some advise on some good 18650's as well.

No such thing as overkill here on CPF :)

But for real if you want good flood a tactical light probably not your best choice they are usually set up for more throw than flood.

So I stand beside the others who suggest a M30. If its to much light just use the low or medium and still nice to have high mode if you ever need it.

And good 18650 would be AW 2600mah or even 2200mah if you can get them down under. Good luck in your search we all know the feeling and feel it all the time.

There is no such thing as overkill ;) it has lower modes if you dont need all that output.

That said, the M30 may have a size limitation, and is not pocketable in the same way that the smaller 2xCR123 tactical lights are.

The most highly recommended 18650 batteries on here are the AW brand.

Anyway, read around, i'm sure you will find a light that suits your needs close to perfectly here somewhere!!

The TK11 R2 destroys the Jetbeam Pro St( I don't own a Ultra) in throw with the Jet having a larger and brighter flood area. The Jetbeam has a nice UI with you being able to program all three modes to whatever output you want. If you are considering a Tactical light I would highly suggest the Eagletac T100C2.

I like it better than my TK11 it even out throws it. I will leave links to all these lights at the bottom notice the T100 is nearly half the but its equal in light. I included the Jetbeam-III Military model, it may be something your looking for also.

Eagletac T100C2 Mark II - https://www.pts-flashlights.com/products/product.aspx?pid=152-154-6717

Jetbeam III Pro St - http://www.bugoutgearusa.com/jetiiiprost.html

Jetbeam III Military - http://www.bugoutgearusa.com/jemi.html

Edit to include the AW battery's and charger page. Bugoutgear does ship international. http://www.bugoutgearusa.com/liionbatteries.html

The Jet Ultra is also at Bugoutgear but I don't own one so I can't really comment on the output. I do know it out throws the Pro ST but not as much flood.

Are those actual 3000 mAh batteries?

I'd go with AW's batteries because they match up with their statements, and AW has a good track record.

I think you should go with the Olight M30.

it think its 'ok', im actually using that myself.
But if you're charging 16340, you'll have to get a spacer (a chunk of conductive metal)

but its not the most trusted charger amongst the CPF community as once in a while, some people do report it burning out, etc accidents.

Mine has served me just fine just try not to leave it unattended while charging. And thats not a knock against this model charger it should go for all.

Do a CPF search on the charger and it will lead you to all sorts of stuff about charging lithium battery's and different brand chargers.
