Well I wanted a lantern attachment like the solarforce for the L2 and Surefire lights for my fenix l2d so here it is:
Its just a clear cap from a drink bottle and inside it, I made a cone. In the foreground, theres a cone thats made from aluminium foil but I used a 92% reflective mylar instead.
Heres what it looks like on the l2d, and an action shot:
It works but the glare ..
anyway some light meter measurements:
0 degrees at 1.2metre 47 lux
45 degrees at 1.2metre 21 lux
90 degrees at 1.2metre 26 lux
using the aluminium foil cone
0 degrees at 1.2metre 37 lux
45 degrees at 1.2metre 36 lux
90 degrees at 1.2metre 18 lux
using the rude looking fenix diffuser tip
0 degrees at 1.2metre 21 lux
45 degrees at 1.2metre 22 lux
90 degrees at 1.2metre 21 lux
as you can guess, its not a very even spread and theres a bit of light spillage. I might try a silvery christmas tree ball the next time I think
